Rising singer-songwriter Sasha Sloan has emerged with her newest single “Faking It.”
Originally from Boston, Sloan relocated to Los Angeles where she immediately began writing for pop songstresses Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, and Camila Cabello, as well as collaborating with Kygo and Odesza.
Sloan signed with RCA Records earlier this year and debuted her EP sad girl. The EP is a six-track collection of the rawest, most stripped down songs Sloan has shared with the world, including the previously released singles “Ready Yet” and “Normal.”
“I’m way too good at,” Sasha Sloan begins. “saying I love you like I believe it.”
Similarly to her other songs, relationships are the topic of discussion but what’s different about this single is it’s transparent pop tunes and catchy chorus. There’s an outpouring sense of resistance that runs through the verses, a twisted yet relatable feeling of being so out of a relationship but still faking it.
Known as “sadgirlsloan” on her social media platforms, this brand has expanded her connection with the millennial generation. She explores self-discovery in her music and social media posts, where she unapologetically addresses her own insecurities.

Sasha Sloan has wrapped up her first North American tour, including stops at festivals such as Lollapalooza in Illinois and Outside Lands in California. She also opened for Oh Wonder on their domestic and international summer tour.
“I honestly didn’t know what to expect for my first tour, but it’s been really cool to perform live and see how the crowd reacts to my music,” says Sloan in an interview. “It’s also had a slight influence on the way I write and approach music.
If you missed Sloan on her past tour dates, there are a few more upcoming shows.
