Originally from the Netherlands, Arnoud van Nispen aka Loudar is a well-known name in the music industry. Due to his incredible, original and up-to-beat music style, he has made headlines worldwide. This talented musician started playing musical instruments and making music from a very young age. According to him, music came naturally to him. It is something that completes his soul. “In the start, it was just a hobby. I began by playing the piano; this was the first time I was introduced to music and how it could affect someone,” Loudar shares. “I didn’t know about music that much back then, but I was sure I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. When I turn to 16, I started developing an interest in electronic music, which changed everything. Since then, it has been ten incredible years of my professional career making hardstyle EDM,” he adds.

Electronic music, or EDM, is a branch of music that emerged in the 1980s. Since the last decade, the music genre has been gaining immense popularity, especially among the youth. Due to elevating music and beats, they have been adopted by thousands of clubs around the world and are heavily used for dance parties. Among many branches of EDM, like trance, house, and others, Loudar prefers hardstyle music that made its way in the late 1990s. Speaking about this electronic dance genre that originated in the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy, he says, “Hardstyle is a music genre with around 150-160 bpm, and it can be recognized by its use of synthesizer melodies and distorted sounds. I love creating such rocking and moving music. I also enjoy making bootleg, through which I get to express my version and creativity through a song.”

It is no secret that artists create bootlegs of already famous songs to enhance their audience, to pay tribute, or to give their own take on a particular track. Loudar further went on to explain, “A bootleg is not an official remix, and you can’t release it officially due to legal issues. However, you can share it as a free download.”

He continues, “I like to make bootlegs. It allows me to put my ideas, feelings, and energy into a new remix of an existing release from another artist. I never intended to prove that I was fixing the song or could do better. The music industry is unlike any other. It is a loving and supportive community. Here artists give shout-outs to each other and get featured in songs just for the fan. For us, music is a journey that we live with our fans. It is not something that can be changed or suppressed by anyone.”

What is even more interesting is the fact that recently in Tomorrowland, the biggest electronic music platform organized once a year, Loudar’s bootleg was performed by one of the great artists, Timmy Trumpet. “It is indeed an honour for me that Timmy Trumpet played my bootleg at Tomorrowland,” shares the excited artist.

Tomorrowland festival is known for its incredible atmosphere and electronic music celebration. Being one of the biggest music platforms, it has featured many renowned artists, including Marshmallow, Alan Walker, and the Swedish House Mafia. As far as Timmy Trumpet is concerned, the DJ, songwriter and record producer who is known for his iconic tracks infused with trumpet became part of Tomorrowland in 2017. Since then, he has been making waves with his remarkable grooving tracks.

“Events like Tomorrowland and musicians like Timmy Trumpet are revolutionizing the hardstyle music genre. It’s energetic, and I think the softer tracks could sound like EDM with more energy and harder kicks,” he states. “The production techniques and song writing changed to be suited to a more commercial audience. Hardstyle music is a popular subgenre of EDM that combines house music, trance, hardcore, and hard techno. Even Timmy Trumpet plays a lot of hardstyle tracks in his set. The scene is still growing everywhere around the world! Which is a success for music,” concludes the music producer and artist.
