Lidl shoppers are going wild for the shop's new own-brand trainers. Now, they've predicted the footwear's resale price could reach new heights. In a post shared by Lidl to their official Instagram, they wrote: "A moment for these #LidlxLidl trainers please." In the photo, a close-up showed the shop's trainers.

The classic white shoes come with red, blue, and yellow detailing that matches Lidl's branding. In the back, Lidl's logo is proudly displayed on a blue background. Shoppers can pair the shoes with Lidl socks, which are white and embossed with the shop's logo. The trainers cost £14.99, and the socks are £1.99.

The shoes come in a men's or a women's version for the same price, and the only difference is the sizing. Shoppers can complete the look with the rest of the LidlxLidl collection: a blue T-shirt (£4.99), a red T-shirt (£4.99), sliders (£4.99), swim shorts (£5.99), and a Lidl ball (£2.99).

Shoppers rushed to the trainer post's comments to express their love for the collection. One wrote: "LidlxLidl round two did not disappoint."

"I'm eyeing up those socks," another said as a third person wrote: "Could have saved some money on the Nikes and got these bad boys!" But one shopper made an astute prediction.

They said: "The resell market for these trainers is madness." Indeed, the shoes are already appearing on Ebay for twice their original price.

There are several listings on the site selling the shoes for £30. One person is even doing a bundle of shoes and socks for £40, which is £23.02 more than it would cost you in store.

The previous LidlxLidl collection was just as popular, and the more colourful trainers from that drop are still being touted. One version of the shoes sells for £109 on Amazon, with a £20 delivery fee on top.

There are cheaper listings too, with one person selling the shoes for £13.99 - down from £24.99. On Ebay, the same pair goes for around £30. Lidl's new clothing collection is on sale from March 23. It's part of the Middle of Lidl range, so when it's gone, it's gone.
