Born Margaret Claire Hoover on December 11, 1977, she was born in Colorado. But was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the United States by parents Jean W. Hoover and Andrew Hoover of Littleton, Colorado. She is the granddaughter of former U.S. President Herbert Hoover.

She is the daughter of Jean W. Hoover and Andrew Hoover. From Greenfield Engineering in Denver, her father is a mining engineer, retired.

Jean W. Hoover is also on the board of the Hoover library association. Andrew Hoover’s mother is retired as a flight attendant for United Airlines. Hoover is the great-granddaughter of Herbert Hoover (the 31st president of the United States).

Margaret’s Education

As a humanitarian and developer of the international non-governmental organization, she seeks to publicize his achievements and legacy. She went to Garland Country Day School in Denver Colorado for primary education.

She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Literature with a minor in Political Science.

Margaret graduated in the year 2001 and then attended Davidson College for two years and was a member of Warner Hall.

Hoover was the Associate Director of Intergovernmental Affairs in the White House for the administration of George W. Bush.

Margaret Hoover is married to John Avlon on November 7, 2009. The couple is blessed with a daughter Toula Lou and a son Jack. And so far, it seems like the couple is enjoying married life as many of their social posts are very romantic and peaceful.
