In September, Israeli singer-songwriter Nathan Goshen released his latest single ‘Home’. The mid-tempo anthem is both emotional and relatable – it’s a song that each listener can interpret in their own way.
Playing on the fact that ‘home’ means something different to everyone, Nathan has been filming and releasing mini-documentaries which depict the word ‘home’. The clips will form part of his forthcoming music video for the single, and today sees the release of Chef Martin’s mini-film.
Martin, an Argentinian-born chef, moved to New York to further his culinary career. Unable to speak English at first, with time Martin has been able to develop and grow as a person, whilst finding his definition of home in the Big Apple.
“Things that happen in our lives, end up making us who we are.”
During the video, Martin reminds us that we “we are all people”, regardless of status, fame, wealth, race or nationality. The mini-documentary also finishes with a poignant statement:
“Home is not a piece of soil but a piece of soul”
This is a message that will ring true for so many people. It doesn’t matter where in the world you are or where you live, for some home will always be the people they associate with it, rather than the location, or bricks and mortar.
