This could be one of the biggest ends of an era in NBC drama series ‘Days of Our Lives’ as Marci Miller’s character Abby Devereaux DiMera has been killed off. Abigail was found murdered by her husband Chad hours after they made love to each other towards the end in Friday’s episode. The death of a beloved legacy character was so shocking for fans that many were hoping she would not be declared 'officially dead' and would somehow turn out to be alive on Monday's episode. However, that did not happen leaving fans disappointed.
Fans took to Twitter to express their anger and disappointment over the sad demise of Abigail. Miller took over the popular role in 2016. She left the soap after a two-year run in 2018, before returning to the show in 2020.
For viewers who are unaware, from past several months itself, there had been increased fan discussions on social media about how Abigail could be brutally murdered in the show ‘Days of Our Lives’ which would kick start a who killed her mystery and suspense that can last for the entire summer.

In Friday’s episode of ‘Days of Our Lives’, Abigail was found dead by her husband, Chad (Billy Flynn), hours after the couple had made love with each other. The situation behind Abby’s death will kick off a murder mystery arc. Multiple characters could be shown as suspects — Abigail's uncle Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) who’s on an alcoholic bender and often can’t recall his actions, half-sister Gwen (Emily O’Brien) even though she’s currently in prison, and nemesis Leo (Greg Rikaart) who’s out for revenge against those who played a part in Craig (Kevin Spirtas) ultimately deciding not to marry him.
