Chuck Berry dies at the age of 90

On Saturday, St. Charles County Police reported that the legendary Rock and Roll singer Chuck Berry has passed away. He was 90. The officials found Berry unconscious at lunch time. He was pronounced dead at 1:26pm. Later, a statement was issued which said,

On Saturday, St. Charles County Police reported that the legendary Rock and Roll singer Chuck Berry has passed away. He was 90.

The officials found Berry unconscious at lunch time. He was pronounced dead at 1:26pm. Later, a statement was issued which said,

“The St. Charles County Police Department sadly confirms the death of Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr., better known as legendary musician Chuck Berry.”

The cause of his death has not been revealed.

Chuck Berry is known as the founding father of Rock and Roll music. Recognized as one of the greatest guitarists of all time, his songs “Maybellene” and “Roll Over Beethoven” have become a part of musical canon.

In 1985, the singer entered The Blues Foundation’s Blues Hall of Fame and in the same year, he also received Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

His death is a great loss to the music industry.
