Just two weeks after revealing that they were expecting another baby, Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross have revealed that they are having a baby boy. The couple revealed the news with an Instagram Video that featured the couple and their two children cutting a cake filled with blue sprinkles.
Both Simpson and Ross posted the video on their respective Instagram accounts. The clip featured Simpson standing in between her 11-year-old son Bronx Mowgli (who she shares with ex-husband Pete Wentz) and her 4-year-old daughter, Jagger Snow, who she shares with Ross.

All four family members held the knife together as they cut the cake that came from Los Angeles bakery Cakes by Claritza. As the foursome made their cut, blue sprinkles started to pour out and Simpson announces to everyone that she is having a boy. However, as she picks up Jagger and gives her a hug, it’s clear the little one isn’t thrilled with the idea of having a baby brother.
In the caption of her post, Simpson simply added six blue heart emojis along with a prayer hands emoji in the middle. On Ross’ page, he pointed out that his daughter had her heart set on a baby sister.
“SO STOKED 2 MEET MY BABY BOY 🖤 as u can tell Jagger wanted a sis 😂,” wrote Ross.
Simpson and Ross announced their pregnancy news late last month with an Instagram post that featured the couple showing off their Clearblue pregnancy test that read “pregnant.”
“We are pregnant and we are so excited to share it with everyone. Baby #3,” wrote Simpson in the caption, while Ross wrote on his page, “The fam is growing. ♥️ Ash and I can’t wait to welcome the newest addition.”

The Pieces of Me singer also took the opportunity in her pregnancy post to remind her nearly one million followers that many pregnant women are under great stress during this “unprecedented time.”
